to Protecting Your Modules

How Studii Works

University is full of opportunities, challenges, and growth. But sometimes even hardworking students encounter academic setbacks along the way.

Studii was created to help students navigate those moments without facing the full financial burden of repeating a module.

In this article, we explain exactly how Studii works and what students can expect when they choose to protect their modules.

The Core Promise of Studii

At its core, Studii provides financial protection for university module fees.

If a student protects a module through Studii and later fails that module, Studii will pay out the cost of that module so the student can repeat it without paying the full fee again.

The goal is simple: to help students stay enrolled and continue their academic journey even if things do not go exactly as planned.

1

Step 1: Choose the Modules You Want to Protect

Every university course consists of several modules or subjects.

With Studii, students can choose how many of those modules they want to protect. A module simply refers to a single academic subject that forms part of your degree programme.

Students can decide to protect only one module or up to four modules depending on their needs.

This flexibility allows students to tailor their protection to their specific academic journey.

2

Step 2: Subscribe to Studii

Once students have selected the number of modules they want to protect, they begin a monthly subscription.

This subscription continues until the end of the academic year and covers the chosen number of modules.

The subscription is the cost of maintaining protection for those modules throughout the year.

Students can also cancel their subscription at any time if they choose to do so.

3

Step 3: Continue Your Studies

Once protected, students continue their academic year as normal.

Studii does not interfere with the student's studies, exams, or academic performance. The goal is simply to provide a safety net in case a module needs to be repeated.

Students are still responsible for attending classes, completing coursework, and working toward their final results.

What Happens If You Need to Repeat a Module

  • If a student fails a protected module, they can submit a payout request through their Studii dashboard.
  • To qualify, the student must achieve a final mark of at least 45% for the failed module.
  • This ensures that the student made a genuine academic effort during the course.

How the Payout Process Works

The payout process is straightforward:

  • After receiving their results, the student logs into their Studii dashboard and submits a claim for the failed module.
  • The student uploads supporting documents such as their academic transcript.
  • The Studii payout team reviews the request to ensure it meets the agreement terms.
  • If everything is in order, the payout is approved.
  • All payouts are made in December and January for monthly contracts, after the academic year has concluded. If you chose to pay once-off you can claim anytime.

What Studii Covers

Studii covers the actual cost of the module fee that the student needs to pay in order to repeat the subject.

  • The protection applies specifically to the module tuition fee.
  • Exclusions: Accommodation, study materials, field trips, and other non-tuition expenses.

Responsibilities of Students

  • Keep your monthly subscription paid up to date for protection to remain valid.
  • Achieve a final mark of at least 45% in the failed module.
  • These requirements ensure Studii remains fair and sustainable for all users.

Supporting Students Through the Journey

University success is rarely a perfectly straight line.

Most students face challenges at some point during their academic journey. What matters most is the ability to learn, adapt, and continue moving forward.

Studii exists to help students stay on that path.

By reducing the financial risk of repeating a module, Studii allows students to focus on learning, growth, and ultimately completing their degrees.

Because sometimes a second attempt is all it takes to succeed.

And when more students succeed, everyone benefits.
